Serves him right. He could have signed weeks ago and been playing by now, but he and his agent were greedy to hold out for a better deal at the last minute. The gamble didn’t pay off, Campbell now spends the rest of the season in the reserves, and they try to do another deal in the summer when suitors will have many more options and Campbell is 5 or 6 months older with no recent form to show.

Will probably go out on loan again. Is he the real Loan Ranger?
It seems whoever signs him puts him out on loan soon afterwards. Does that tell us something about him?

@Terraceman, He can only sign a 93-day loan, so will have to wait until 24th February to encompass the play-off final. He’ll miss out on signing-on fees that come with a permanent transfer. He could see his stock fall if he doesn’t do well on loan, or he does very well and gets Blackburn or Hull City promoted but he’ll have no guarantee they sign him permanently once they’re up.
He will have to go back to Ipswich unless ‘Ari wants him on the bench

@Terraceman, He can join any Championship club on a three-month loan.
The rules say can only play for two clubs in a season. Has played for QPR and Ipswich.

@Terraceman, See this post: www.hullcityonline.com/the-terrace/2013/01/19/elmohamady-dj-campbell-how-many-clubs-in-one-season
‘Emergency’ loans (up to 93 days) do not count.
